Maine Coon Colors:
We often produce Cream Maine Coon cats. A Cream Maine Coon can be both subtle and majestic.
Shaded Silver Maine Coons can be expensive because they are hard to breed. You can breed a male Silver Shaded Maine Coon with a female Silver Shaded Maine Coon.
Silver Shaded Maine Coons resemble white Maine Coons. They have black lining around their noses and eyes. Some areas of their coat may have a slight black tipping. A silver shaded Maine Coon looks as a white cat walking under the shade of a tree.
However, you might not get any Silver Shaded Maine Coon kittens in the whole litter. This focus on detail helps us create kittens with classic Maine Coon colors and rare ones.
All tabby patterns can be silver or silver shaded. This includes mackerel tabby and ticked tabby. Any coat color can also be silver or silver shaded.
While researching for this blog, I came across the term “brown tabby.” I want to clarify that brown is not a cat color. White is a mask not a color. Orange Maine Coons are not a color either.
Gray Maine Coons, oops, are also not a color. The only true colors are red, black, cream, and blue. These are the base colors. Other colors like brown, amber, and silver are genetic modifiers, not real colors.

For example, Smoke black cats share the same gene as silver Maine Coons. However, Smoke cats do not have stripes. They are solid in color with smoke undertones at the roots. You can see these undertones more as the cat grows.
Smoke grey Maine Coons, also known as Blue Smoke Maine Coons, are beautiful cats. Their color is lighter than that of black smoke Maine Coons.
