Sonata

Sonata, registered as Bellspurr Sonata Nocturna, is a black smoke and white female with blue eyes, born at Bellspurr on August 8, 2025. Her pedigree reads like a map of European smoke and silver breeding: both of her parents and all four of her grandparents are recorded in smoke or silver colors.

Her Russian lines are some of the strongest in her pedigree. Blue Ridge, in Krasnodar, is the name behind a line of blue-eyed Maine Coons whose cats have founded programs as far away as Italy. De Zita, a Maine Coon–only cattery in Gubkin in the Belgorod region, also appears, along with StarArk, one of the largest Maine Coon catteries in the Moscow region, and MaineLynx in the Istra district outside Moscow.

Another branch runs through Oracol Maine Coon in Bucharest, Romania. Oracol’s silver program draws on Gracious Wizard in Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan, which breeds polydactyl and traditional Maine Coons, and on the Coontact polydactyl line.

Her Bellspurr-born generations lead back to Von Palüt, Cornelia Egg’s cattery in Basel, Switzerland, and to Caspian’s in Vienna, Austria, whose cats were named Mister Austria in 2019, 2024 and 2025. Further back are Gattacamoon in Slovakia, Alwaro in Poland, known for large silver shaded, chinchilla and high smoke Maine Coons, and Iorek in Brazil, which produced Brazil’s first shaded Maine Coon. Her pedigree also reaches Well Being in Penza, Russia, and American lines from Rainbolt in Texas, Misticoons in Arizona and KokuaKats on Maui.

Blue eyes on her certificate, and smoke and silver in every branch behind her.
