Baron, registered as Purradisemcoons Baron Trump, is a black smoke Maine Coon male. Born July 28, 2024, he was bred by Belinda Tate of Purradisemcoons, who paired European lines from two specific catteries: Arst Maine Coon Cattery in Bergamo, Italy, and Oracol Maine Coon in Bucharest, Romania.

His father, Arst Jonny/WC, comes from the Arst cattery in Bergamo. His mother, Oracol Wella, comes from the Oracol cattery in Bucharest. Baron’s five-generation pedigree is on file, documenting the ancestry behind this pairing and connecting his Purradisemcoons breeding to his Italian and Romanian roots.

Baron’s pale black smoke coat is particularly distinctive. Smoke coloring gives each hair a silver-white base beneath a darker tip. In a paler, or “high smoke,” coat, that light base extends farther along the hair, creating an almost silver appearance in some areas while retaining the dark tips that identify him as black smoke. His long coat reveals those lighter layers as he moves, showing the contrast between the white roots and black outer coloring.

His blue eyes add another distinctive feature to his appearance. Described as dominant blue eyes, or DBE, this trait allows blue eyes to occur in a fully colored cat such as Baron. His pale black smoke coat and blue eyes form an uncommon combination, although no reliable published population figures establish an exact rarity percentage.

Baron’s Basepaws v4 genetic panel screened him for 43 genetic diseases through 64 genetic markers. Every disease result was reported as clear or carrier, with no at-risk results.
