Lavender

Lavender, registered as Lavender Scent of Bellspurr, is a black silver ticked tabby and white female born May 28, 2024. She was bred by Corinne Lanier.

Her sire is King Queen Ashley, bred here at Bellspurr. We originally sold him as a female, and his owner named him Queen Ashley. By the time we realized he was a male, the name had stuck, so he became King Queen Ashley: proof that even a breeder can get a kitten’s sex wrong.

Through him, Lavender’s lines go back to Von Palüt, Cornelia Egg’s cattery in Basel, Switzerland, and to Caspian’s in Vienna, Austria, whose cats were named Mister Austria in 2019, 2024 and 2025. Behind those two are Gattacamoon in Slovakia, Alwaro in Poland, breeding since 1997 and known for large silver shaded, chinchilla and high smoke Maine Coons, and Iorek in Brazil, the cattery that produced Brazil’s first shaded Maine Coon and has exported to 18 countries. Stars of Monaco in Slovakia also appears on this side.

Her other side mixes Russian, German and American lines. From Russia come Magneticoon and Well Being, a WCF cattery in Penza breeding since 2010. From Germany come Justcoons, whose JustCoons Pas de Deux became a World Champion, and Summerplace, Anita Hemmer’s program of more than twenty years. The American lines include Rainbolt in East Texas, Misticoons in Arizona and KokuaKats, a CFA cattery on Maui, Hawaii, whose Grand Champion appears in her pedigree.

From Basel and Vienna to Penza, Maui and back to Bellspurr, Lavender carries one of the most varied pedigrees in our program.
